Van Buren Public Library Policies
Library Cards
A bar-coded library card is issued with no charge to the residents of, and property owners in Van Buren and Van Buren Township. School age to adult may be issued a library card.
Loan Period
Books and magazines: Two weeks with one renewal, unless the item is new or in demand.
Current Magazines: One week
Video recordings/DVDs: Five days. See details on video/DVD page.
Check Out Limits
Adults - six books per person, children - four books per child.
Overdue Charges
Books and magazines: two cents per day
